How long have you been doing Walk Through Bethlehem?

2022 will mark our 15th year offering Walk Through Bethlehem to our community. Over 11,000 visitors have experienced Walk through Bethlehem since 2006 when it all began. Due to the pandemic we have been unable to offer Walk Through Bethlehem for the past 3 years. We are excited to spread the true story of Christmas with this special Bethlehem event again this December!
How long will the tour take?

The actual tour takes approximately 35 minutes. Be prepared for a possible waiting period due to large crowds. Anyone registered by 8:30 pm is guaranteed to get through on a tour. (weather permitting.)

"There will be live music during most waiting times for your entertainment. The entertainment is offered by area churches and ministries at no charge to us or to you. We hope you enjoy!"

Are my children allowed?

Many children have enjoyed WTB over the years. Bring your whole family. You may want to bring something to occupy your small children while they wait for a tour. We’ll be offering coloring sheets and crayons while supplies last.

Can elderly folks and those in wheel chairs take the tour?

Yes, we encourage it, but bear in mind that the "Walk Through Bethlehem" is just that, "a walk", so you will be taking a leisurely stroll through the little town. We will do our best to accommodate those in wheel chairs. Most of the tour is on grass.

How much does the tour cost?

The tour is free of charge to the whole family, however donations are appreciated. There will be an opportunity to make a donation in any amount if you'd like. If you write a check, make it out to Samoset Baptist Church.

Let the Story of Christmas come to life for you and your family this December!

Walk Through Bethlehem is much more than a Nativity scene. You will discover a multitude of sensory experiences awaiting you from the minute you walk through the city gate. A tour guide will take you through the busy marketplace as Roman soldiers, stationed on the rooftops and throughout the town, watch your every move. You'll visit several old shops, a synagogue, the Inn that is all filled up, and of course, the stable where baby Jesus lay on a bed of hay...and much more!

"Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

Luke 2:15
